The above display case has some First Nations Buckskins - beaded and embroidered.

The display case to the left, and the one below has some good examples of baskets, fishing nets, arrow heads, tools.
Arrow Heads Display!
Three native nations exist in our region. They are:
        Shuswap
        Carrier
        Tsilhqot'in

The Shuswap Nation is located east of the Fraser River
The Tsilhqot'in Nation is located west of the Fraser River
The Carrier Nation is located to the north and east of Williams Lake and around Anahim Lake in the West.

The Shuswap Nation is made up of five bands:
      Soda Creek - (Xat'sull)
           Deep Creek is another section of the Soda Creek Band
      Canoe Creek - (Xat'lt'tem)
           Dog Creek is another section of the Canoe Creek Band
      Williams Lake {Sugar Cane} (T'lexelc)
      Canim Lake (Tsq'escen')
      Alkali Lake (Esket) independent as of 1995.

The Carrier Nation is made up of four bands:
      Ulkatcho (Ulkatchot'en)
      Kluskus (Lhoosk'uzt'en)
      Nasko (Nazkot'en)
      Red Bluff (Lhtakot'en)

The Tsilhqot'in Nation is made up of six bands:
      Anaham (Tl'etinquox)
      Stone (Yunesit'in)
      Alexis Creek (Tsi Del Del)
      Nemiah (Xene Gwet'in)
      Alexandria ('Esdilagh)
      Toosey (Tl'esqoten)

All names in brackets are traditional.
