Summer (May to August 31) everyday 9 AM to 6 PM.

First half of fall (Sep to Oct) Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday and Sunday 10AM to 3PM.

Second half of fall (Oct 1 to Nov 16) Monday to Friday 9AM – 5PM, Saturday 10AM – 3PM and closed Sundays.

Winter (Nov 17 to May) every weekday 9 AM to 5 PM. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

About The Museum

The museum’s mission is to support, encourage, and facilitate the collection, conservation, maintenance and restoration of heritage property and sites in Williams Lake and the Cariboo Chicotin regions. As a history museum in Williams Lake, we are a centre for historical, genealogical, and anthropological research.

The Museum’s Purpose

The purpose of the museum is to promote and encourage research, writing, and recording of histories of the Williams Lake and Cariboo Chilcotin region while maintaining proper conservation and display practices for the presentation of artifacts and archival materials representing the region. We also encourage the education of local students regarding their heritage and culture.
